Here is the release of information that Mazda Canada provided to its dealers regarding the all-new CX-30
Today at the Geneva International Motor Show, Mazda Motor Corporation unveiled a brand-new Compact Crossover SUV, the Mazda CX-30.
This new addition to our CX range of crossovers sits neatly between two of our best-selling SUVs, the CX 5 and the CX-3, and will be the second 7th generation model to be introduced in our new-generation lineup. As you can see, its stunning design is a continuation of our award-winning KODO design philosophy. It also comes with new 7th generation technologies such as the latest iteration of our Skyactiv Vehicle Architecture, GVC Plus, human-centred cockpit design, and, important for our market, an enhanced all-wheel-drive system.
You may be wondering about the name. As you know, CX indicates the model belongs to Mazda’s crossover SUV lineup. As for the two-digits, we want to increase customer choice in the globally growing crossover SUV segment and decided on “CX-30” after considering many possibilities.
As a new core model, the CX-30 will be rolled out to global markets, with sales starting in Europe this summer. We will get the new CX-30 in Canada towards the end of this year. And what you see in the photo above is what we’ll get; that is a real production model, not a concept!
